My Story

I love to tell stories, and my own journey is one of unexpected transformation and grace. In my life, my vocation has changed in shape but never in substance. I'm an ordained minister in the United Church of Canada. On Sunday mornings, I tell stories of faith, the Bible, and finding the sacred in our lives.  My time as a congregational minister led me to another calling, to be licensed funeral director and care for the dead and the grieving. In that role, I learned to listen to stories, instead of telling them. Beyond professional life, I'm a parent, a survivor of heart surgery and mental illness, a proud member of the LGBTQ+ poly communities, a musician, and hopeless bibliophile. I'm proud to offer my services for Sunday morning worship, weddings, funeral services, and help writing eulogies, obituaries, designing helpful rituals, and more.  I split my time between my home in the Greater Toronto Area, and my church in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. I have two homes, two jobs, two children, two partners, and two cats.

This site offers a sample of what I'm thinking, writing, and reading. Let's connect so that I can hear your story, too.
